While Additive Manufacturing in Plastics has matured and well proliferated-economical technology not just for regular industrial use, but also for designers and hobbyists; the Metal Additive Manufacturing has just about come out from research labs into few costlier exotic applications such as Aerospace, Medical Implants and Jewellery … it is yet to become a regular Industrial Production option where simpler parts are to be mass-produced or much bigger parts are to be produced. Going by the rate at which its cost and speed are poised to change and the advantages a part which is designed for Additive Manufacturing could present; it could well change the way entire manufacturing industry works sooner than expected.
The Seminar will give a global and Indian outlook of Additive Manufacturing by giving a fresh perspective of global megatrends, technologies, applications, market players, performance and quality expectancy, supporting ecosystem availability. Beyond just awareness about AM, the idea is to make Industry to view and evaluate it as a serious "viable" OR "emerging" option.
A large gathering of Industry professionals are expected to attend this Seminar with a guided tour to Additive Manufacturing Pavilion and Factory of the Future. The Seminar is split into two half-day events scheduled on 26 and 28 January 2019 at the BIEC Conference Centre, Bangalore.
