Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is all set to host its flagship exhibition - IMTEX 2025, the largest machine tool and manufacturing technology exhibition in Southeast Asia, from 23 to 29 January 2025 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru.
IMTEX 2025 along with concurrent shows of Tooltech 2025 & Digital Manufacturing 2025 will showcase a wide range of advanced solutions in CNC machining, tooling, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, CAD/CAM, metrology, and smart manufacturing technologies that will help transform Indian manufacturing industry. OEMs, sourcing agents, researchers, academia, and students among others, will be at the exhibition to explore and source their requirements.
Enumerating the current trends of the machine tool industry, Mr. Rajendra S Rajamane, President-IMTMA says “Globally, India ranks 9th in production and 6th in consumption as per World Machine Tool Survey 2023 by Gardner Intelligence. Production during FY 2023-24 is estimated to have risen by around 10% reaching ₹ 13,571 crores (US$ 1.6 billion), Consumption during the period is estimated to have increased by 11% to reach ₹ 27,265 crores (US$ 3.3 billion) in FY24.
Organizing IMTEX 2025 in this backdrop would help showcase a new and confident India and how its machine tool industry can contribute to the journey towards excellence”, adds Mr. Rajamane.
“IMTEX 2025 will be the largest machine tool exhibition surpassing all its previous editions, covering an area of around 80,000 sqm and over 1000 exhibitors presenting an exciting range of technologies and solutions, providing an ideal platform for machine tool user industries,” says Mr. Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO, IMTMA.
“As in the past, the display of ‘LIVE’ machines at IMTEX 2025 would enable visitors to witness the solutions and technologies. Exhibitors, both large and small, can favourably enhance their brand at IMTEX”, Mr. Dasgupta adds.
While Tooltech 2025 and Digital Manufacturing 2025 will be concurrent shows, IMTEX 2025 will feature many parallel events such as i2 Academia Square, Manufacturing Quiz Contest, Jagruti, and Job Connect. A large number of industry representatives will be visiting IMTEX as trade delegations, and students from engineering institutions will also be visiting.
